Flag

The university flag was adopted by a University of Cauca governing board in the 75th agreement of November 7, 1922, in order to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the institution's foundation. The flag is made up of twelve alternating blue and red bars of equal size, which are placed perpendicular to a flagpole.

 

University Seal 

The university's seal was adopted by a university's governing board with the 75th agreement of November 7, 1922. The seal consists of a hand raising a torch with the words in Latin, “Posteris lumen moriturus edat”. 


 

Anthem

The university's anthem was composed by master Avelino Paz, one of the greatest composers of all time. The lyrics are the work of poet Guillermo Valencia, who has been one of Popayan’s most recognized authors in the city's history. Its musical composition debuted November 11, 1922, to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the university.
