Speech Therapy students from Unicauca and Universidad Pedro de Valdivia de Chile share experiences of training practice
The meeting that took place on December 2, 2020, made possible a space for learning and academic exchange to share successful experiences, implement curricular flexibility actions and generate transformations in professional practices.
Students from the Speech Therapy program of the University of Cauca and the Pedro de Valdivia University of Chile participated actively during the Inter-institutional Meeting of Experiences of Training Practice in times of COVID. During the activity that took place on Wednesday, December 2, various methodologies implemented for the intervention of patients remotely in the areas of professional work were presented.
In this way, through the University of Cauca, the students participated:
Maira Alejandra Enríquez from the VIII semester, who presented "Experiences in Telepractic: a view from Speech Therapy Intervention in Reading and Writing."
Paola Gaviria and Daniela Montilla from X semester. "Speech and language practice in a Writing Center: challenges in times of pandemic"
Laura Camila Rosero from VIII semester. "Telepractice in speech: What the pandemic led us to".
Similarly, the Pedro de Valdivia University of Chile presented:
Cristián Tapia Albornoz of IX semesters with his presentation "Vocal Training in choir users".
Susana Margarita Ordenes Ortega of X semester. "Evaluation and intervention in the area of hearing for users of different ages, Phonak Center".
Vinka Veizaga Juárez of X semester. “Inter-site professional practice experience”.
The event aimed to create a space for learning and academic exchange between the two universities, to share successful experiences, implement curricular flexibility actions and generate transformations in professional practices, as well as introducing new didactics to offer high-quality care, that positively impacts users.
