The Bachelor of Spanish and Literature belongs to the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Cauca and was created by Agreement No 002 of March 24 1994, issued by the Supreme Council.

The Spanish and Literature Program in its 32 years of existence, has been living presence in cultural activities in the region, and its graduates today nourish universities and institutions of the country and actively participate in the educational, artistic, and cultural scope.
