The University of Cauca, through the Office of the Vice President for Research, invites you to participate in the call to form a list of projects eligible to support the pre-commercial and / or commercial validation of results already obtained in projects carried out by research groups of the University of Cauca.

 

In the framework of the institutional commitment to territorial peace, social, environmental, economic development and increased competitiveness in the region, the Office of the Vice President for Research at the University of Cauca opened the call to advance in the enlistment of technologies for the transfer.

 

In this context, projects will be supported with research results that are currently, at least, at a technological maturity level TRL 5 (laboratory work ended) and commercial maturity CRL 2 (analysis of the environment, the market and a first version of the technology business model).

 

The above in accordance with the definitions included in these terms of reference and the self-evaluation, documents that were sent by email to all researchers at the institution, as well as information on evaluation criteria, support modalities, budget, financing, among others.

 

It is noteworthy that the call is addressed to the Research Groups of the Universidad del Cauca recognized and / or categorized in the 2018 National Call for the recognition and measurement of research, technological development or innovation groups and for the recognition of researchers from the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation - SNCTeI1, that have research results and interest in carrying out processes of knowledge and / or technology transfer to society and the market.

 

In the formulation of project proposals, some of the following types of products must be included: and during the execution of the beneficiary projects, the respective evidence must be presented.

 

• Products in pre-commercial validation projects of research results:

 

Evidence in videos and photographs of the functional prototype of the technology.

Evidence of the technical validation of the technology in a relevant environment (pilot plant)

Evidence of the pre-commercial validation of the technology showing the interaction with users and potential end customers.

Technical, economic and financial feasibility study of the business project for commercial exploitation of the technology.

Plan for commercial exploitation of technology

 

• Products in commercial validation projects of research results:

 

Evidence in videos and photographs of the product or service that emerged from the research result.

Evidence of technology scaling in real environment.

Plan for the creation of a Spin-Off company that commercializes the technology.

Plan for the licensing, sale or transfer of technology.

Evidence of the commercial validation of the technology showing the interaction with users and potential end customers.
