The Fine Arts program
The Fine Arts program is part of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Cauca and was created by Agreement No 006 of January 26, 1996, issued by the Supreme Council.
This academic program focuses on the formation of the artistic work of the students, in order to achieve the purposes described below:
- Promote awareness and artistic expression.
- Create conditions for the emergence of new sensitivities among the academic community.
- Deal with teaching practices oriented to forming subjectivities through critical renewal and continuous art education and consistent with the sociocultural context.
- Articulate the pedagogical exercise with artistic research processes, developing in students an attitude of constant experimentation and research.
- Generate dialogic processes with the community to the collective construction of new sensibilities and forms of appropriation lined with the artistic and cultural redefinition.
- Integrate the local practices of research and creation to the production of global processes of diffusion and artistic interaction.
- Develop the skills required for social intervention and cultural management.
By Resolution 2764 of May 25,2007, issued by the Ministry of National Education, the Registry was granted to this academic program at the University of Cauca.
Degree Title: Artist.
Schedule: Day and evening classes.
Modality: The classes are held in a classroom setting.
Duration: Ten (10) semesters.
Admission: Annual.
