From May 14 to 21, ICONTEC conducts an Audit Plan for the University of Cauca to follow up on the certification in ISO 9001: 2015 issued in 2019.

 

The Colombian Institute of Technical Standards and Certification ICONTEC today begins the audit of the University of Cauca that has as its scope the design, development and provision of higher formal education services in undergraduate academic programs and provision of scientific and experimental research services on topics related to science, technology and innovation. This process is carried out virtually, coordinated by the Center for Quality Management and Institutional Accreditation.

 

The University of Cauca received in June 2019 the certification in the ISO 9001: 2015 standard for a period of three years, which is added to the renewal of the Institutional Accreditation for 8 years from the Ministry of National Education.

 

The objectives of the ICONTEC audit for 2020 are:

 

Determine the compliance of the management system with the requirements of the management system standard.

 

Determine the capacity of the management system to ensure that the organization complies with the legal, regulatory and contractual requirements applicable to the scope of the management system and to the standard of management requirements.

 

Determine the effectiveness of the management system to ensure that the organization can have reasonable expectations regarding the fulfillment of the specified objectives.

 

Identify areas for potential improvement of the management system.
