Danny Zavid Herrera and María Alejandra Landínez from the Faculty of Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering obtained the best scores in their respective categories during the final stage of the ICT HUAWEI ICT Competition 2019 - 2020.

Danny Zavid Herrera, a student at the Faculty of Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering got first place in his Networking category and María Alejandra Landínez, a graduate of the same Academic Unit, got third place in the Cloud category, which allows them to be part of the teams that will go in a month to compete in the regional stage of the ICT HUAWEI ICT Competition 2019-2020 in Panama City.

The aforementioned, after a first phase where nearly 1,200 students enrolled and the top ten were chosen from each of the two categories in which this competition takes place, Danny Zavid Herrera, in the Networking category; Dairo Oswaldo Arce Ceballos and María Alejandra Landínez in the Cloud Computing category.

In this preliminary phase, Danny Zavid Herrera and María Alejandra Landínez obtained the best scores in each of the categories at the national level. "After this, we were summoned to Bogotá, along with young people from all over Colombia to present the qualifying exam to the regional stage, where only three people pass in each category," said María Alejandra Landínez.

It should be noted that Danny Zavid Herrera, from the Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications program, is planning his degree for the month of May, achieved first place and will form the team of national representatives of the Networking category. Dairo Arce, from the same academic program, failed to pass, but managed to reach the national stage. And, María Alejandra Landinez, graduated in 2019, achieved third place, forming the team of representatives at the national level of the Cloud Computing category.

TIC HUAWEI ICT Competition 2019 - 2020 is a platform for exchanging experiences and knowledge among the best students and teachers in the world of Huawei. It opens the door for students to prepare themselves, and then demonstrate their skills, knowledge and experiences in Mexico and China.
