PhD student conducts research stay at Unicauca
In the framework of the agreement between the University of Cauca and the Autonomous University of Coahulia (Mexico), Ángela Mariela González Montemayor advances PhD studies in Agricultural and Agroindustrial Sciences and a Doctorate in Food Science and Technology.
Ángela Mariela González Montemayor, graduated from the Chemical Engineering program and master's degree in Food Science and Technology, advances Doctorate studies in Food Science and Technology of the Autonomous University of Coahulia (Mexico) and Doctorate in Agricultural and Agroindustrial Sciences of the University of Cauca for double degree purposes within the framework of the co-tutelary agreement between the two universities in a research stay for one year.
The graduate student carries out a research work on functional and technological properties of a bakery product added with fermented legume flours, a project that is being carried out mainly in the Rheology and Packaging Laboratory with the Biomolecules Science and Technology Research Group of Agroindustrial Interest CYTBIA, under the direction of Professor José Fernando Solanilla of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences.
The Doctorate in Agricultural Sciences of the University of Cauca aims at the training of professionals with the capacity to design policies and plans to reform the use of resources in the primary (agricultural) and transformation (agro-industrial) sectors, seeking an optimal functioning of the different levels in the productive chains.
