Joy, friendship and recognition at the Alumni Meeting of the Master in Continental Hydro-biological Resources

The event, which took place in the north of Popayán, was the best excuse for the family of this postgraduate program of the University of Cauca to remember pleasant moments, share experiences and recognize the work of those who have put their knowledge at the service of the Institution, the region and the country with a high level of commitment.

 

On Thursday, December 12, the 1st Meeting of Graduates of the Master in Continental Hydro-biological Resources, attached to the Faculty of Natural, Exact and Educational Sciences of the University of Cauca was held in Popayán. It was a pleasant space in which professionals from this area of ​​study met again to remember the experiences and to address and analyze the new challenges that today's society poses to the discipline in which they were formed.

 

The activity, which took place in Isla Bonita Grill & Beer, north of the capital of Cauca, included in the agenda the intervention of program founders such as Professor Hildier Zamora; of the coordinator of the Master's Degree, Camilo Ernesto Andrade, who referred to the High Quality Accreditation Process of the Program; the projection of a video with the different cohorts; and the greeting of teachers from abroad.

 

One of the most special moments of the evening was the delivery of special awards; among them, the trajectory of Nancy Stella Cucuñame Mosquera stood out, for her leadership in fish farming, educational and water resources management projects in Cauca; Jhan Alejandro Sandoval, for his outstanding leadership in the execution of educational projects; Liliana Recamán Mejía, for her outstanding work on the sustainability of the supply and water conservation of supply sources; Juan Pablo Paz Concha, for his outstanding work in community water management for local aqueducts nationwide; Federico Mosquera Guerra and Sandra Morales Velasco, for their outstanding work in scientific production; and Hildier Zamora, for his outstanding work, dedication and effort in the foundation and consolidation of the Master.

 

The event concluded with a toast, a dinner and a musical presentation.
