Unicauca’s teacher participated in an Evaluation Forum at an international level

As an evaluator in a call to promote scientific and technological research and development, the professor of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences, Jairo Tocancipá Falla was invited by the National Secretariat of Science and Technology - Senacyt of Panama.

 

With the objective of promoting the development of “I+D” activities to Panamanians who completed their doctoral or postdoctoral studies from 2014 to the present, the professor of the Department of Anthropology of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Jairo Tocancipá Falla , participated last week in an event coordinated by the National Secretariat of Science and Technology - Senacyt of Panama

 

It was the continuous call for promotion of “A I+D” aimed at graduates of doctoral studies organized by the National Secretariat of Science and Technology - Senacyt de Panama, entity responsible for strengthening, supporting, inducing and promoting the development of science, the technology and innovation with the purpose of raising the level of productivity, competitiveness and modernization in the private sector, the government, the academic-research sector, and the general population.

 

“The call seeks to promote research and development activities in a university, research institution, or other public or private sector center within the national territory, with the capacity to carry out scientific or technological research and development,” explained the professor of the University of Cauca.

 

In that sense, a forum was held in which three Colombian researchers participated who evaluated 23 proposals from different fields of knowledge. In total, 10 proposals were approved, of which 4 of them correspond to Human and Social Sciences.

 

Professor Jairo Tocancipá Falla, is a Senior researcher with undergraduate studies in Anthropology, Master in Anthropology and International Development Cooperation, Doctorate in Social Anthropology and with a Postdoctoral stance in Social Anthropology.
