New Dean Appointment: Three candidates for dean of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences
The General Secretariat of the University of Cauca made available to the university and the general community, information regarding the process of designating deans in the faculties of the Alma Mater.
Bearing in mind that Resolution 393 of 2017, containing details of the application process such as agenda and timetable for applying to become Dean in the different faculties of the University of Cauca before the Governing Council. Following are the candidates to the above mentioned position in the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences:
Tulio Enrique Rojas Curieux
Professor Rojas Curieux holds a degree in Social Sciences from the National Pedagogical University; Master in Ethnolinguistics at the University of Los Andes; With Diploma of Studies in Depth (DEA) of Theoretical and Formal Linguistics of the University of Paris; And PhD in Theoretical, Formal and Automatic Linguistics of the same institution of European higher learning. He worked as a full-time professor in the Department of Anthropology at The Universidad de los Andes from January 1993 to January 2001 and currently since January 2013, is a full-time professor in the Anthropology Department of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences of Unicauca.
Proposal
I propose a management that guarantees the academic processes consolidation, research and social projection that are in progress and contribute in the prospection and concretion of new processes that our society requires. Commitment and action of all matters without exclusions or agendas that go against the institutionality we must defend.
I am an advocate of a sincere, open and argued discussion. That is the main way in which we humans must interact.

José Rafael Rosero Morales
Professor Rosero Morales has worked as a teacher and researcher in the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences of the University of Cauca since 1994. Linked as a professor and part-time teacher until 2004 and, since 2005 as a tenured professor through a merit contest, with the Philosophy Department. He has a degree in Philosophy, a Diploma in 'Creation of Intercultural Environments in Multicultural Educational Contexts' by the UNAM-OUI-UPN of Mexico; Specialist in Teaching Latin American Problems; Master in Studies on Latin American Political Problems; And a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Cauca. He has served as Academic Coordinator of the Philosophy Program, Coordinator of the Postgraduate Committee of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences, and Director of the Postgraduate Center of the University of Cauca. He is currently the Coordinator of the Master's Program in Ethics and Political Philosophy
Proposal
For a human and social science that aids the development of the region and the country, which includes the following lines of action: 1) Academic; quality and Regionalization; 2) Creation and consolidation of the FCHS editorial committee; 3) The social and humanistic formation (Fish) and the recovery of the leadership of the FCHS; 4) Research and FCHS; 5) Internationalization and academic mobility; 6) Infrastructure and Welfare.

Rosa Elizabeth Tabares Trujillo
Professor Tabares Trujillo is a graduate of the Anthropology Program at the University of Cauca; Magister in Anthropology, and PhD in Anthropology, University of Montreal (Canada). She has been a faculty member of the Institution for 17 years, she is coordinator of the research group ANTROPACIFICO, and Head of the Department of Anthropology.
Proposal
The proposal of Elizabeth Tabares Trujillo consists of 10 programmatic points. The first of those is "to make the Faculty of Human Sciences be a space for reflection on the construction of peace in a post-agreement period." It also calls for the creation of a national and international network of researchers; assigned support for self-evaluation processes for high-quality accreditation purposes; resource management to expand computer services in the academic unit; Manage resources to access more field trips; Improvement of teacher welfare; Expansion of spaces; Research on interpersonal relations and workplace harassment; As well as to listen to ideas and proposals of each department to integrate them into a work plan.

It should be noted that the consultation will be held on May 25th, 2017 in each Faculty and the Regionalization Headquarters. For the day program faculties it will be between 8:00AM and 5:00PM. In the Faculties with night programs the consultations will be carried out from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. p.m.The results will be sent by the General Secretary of the University to each Faculty Council.
