Luis Guillermo Jaramillo Echeverri, who previously was dean of The Natural Exact Sciences, and Education Faculty of the Alma Mater.

During Wednesday morning and in while in the Academic Council session, Professor Luis Guillermo Jaramillo Echeverri, took office as the new Academic Vice President of the University of Cauca before José Luis Diago Franco, university president.

 

Professor Jaramillo Echeverri, has a degree in Physical Education and Recreation from the University of Caldas; Master in Education and Human Development of the University of Manizales and the Center for Advanced Studies in Youth and Childhood - Cinde; And Doctor of Human and Social Sciences (Education) University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (Portugal).

 

Before being appointed as Academic Vice-president, he served as dean of the Faculty of Natural Exact Sciences, and Education of the Institution.

 

During the inauguration ceremony, the Academic Vice-president stressed his commitment to continue advancing processes for the benefit of the university community and stressed that in order to strengthen unity, it should be remembered that working in the Alma Mater is like feeling in a family where the contribution to all stakeholders is highly valuable.

 

Thus, the team of vice chancellors who will accompany the President José Luis Diago Franco's management in the period 2017-2022 is complete. This past May 2nd, Cielo Cielo Pérez Solano took office as Administrative Vice President; Héctor Samuel Villada Castillo as Vice-President of Research; And Deibar René Hurtado Herrera as Culture and Welfare Vice-President.
