Unicauca presented the agenda to celebrate the 187 years of its foundation.
The rector Juan Diego Castrillon Orrego and vice-rector of Culture and Welfare, Paloma Munoz released the agenda for academic and cultural events to the media.
The formal events will be held on Tuesday, November 11 at 4:00 pm, including a tribute to Simon Bolivar and Francisco de Paula Santander, founders of the Alma Mater and who began their academic activity.
The tribute and recognition to the university will be held in the Founders Hall at five pm, there will be a Thanksgiving mass at six. Then to close the celebration there will be a cocktail at the School of Law, Political and Social Sciences at 7:00 PM.
The vice-rector of Culture and Welfare released the rest of the program to be developed, and that this time symbolizes the Bicentennial Plan in academic, research, the missionary, cultural, welfare, the regional and internationalization.
"The Bicentennial Symphony orchestra will perform, which will debut on November 27 at the Municipal Theater Guillermo Valencia," said Ms Munoz.
In the northern headquarters of Santander de Quilichao, the formal events will be held on November 19 and 20. There will be a religious ceremony, a wreath presentation and musical groups, coordinated by the Centre for Regionalization activities.
