The purpose is to introduce in the Department the 'Rectors, transformational leaders' program with the educational institutions managers.

Thus, it was agreed to strengthen the work between the two parties and initiate the necessary steps to have the program seeking to create professional, academic and administrative competition in management, and institutional and community leadership.

"The program will start with twenty principals, but the idea is to reach all managers with the support of the Governorate of Cauca and the universities," said Yolanda Garces, executive director of the Andi-Cauca and the Productive Sector Representative on the Senior Board of the Alma Mater.

Entrepreneurs for Education currently manages two programs in the department of Cauca, 'Be more master' and 'XXI Century Leaders'.

The first aims to improve the skills in the being and the doing of the teachers and has three cohorts in Popayan, Patia, and Santander de Quilichao; 'XXI Century Leaders', seeks to improve the educational institutions with management of quality processes and the sponsoring of volunteer companies to improve administrative and academic processes.

"These programs embody the alliance that should exist between business and academia to assist in improving the quality and relevance of education, which will bring benefits to all," indicated the Representative of the Productive Sector.

The strengthening of this alliance will include the Secretary of Departmental Education, for which 19 rectors will be selected from educational institutions in different municipalities of Cauca.
