Speech Therapy students completed an internship at the University of Chile Pedro de Valdivia
Angela Zuniga, Academic Coordinator of the Speech Therapy Program, said that the agreement signed in the second period of 2013, has allowed students to travel and other two students are preparing their trip for the second period of this year.
"These experiences are very important for the program guarantee the flexibility of the curriculum. Also, they are critical for the students because they are very enriching experiences in their professional, personal and cultural training", she said.
The students Alix Jasmine Narvaez, Luisa Fernanda Alejandra Ordoñez and Laura Trujillo, who did their practice in Chile, referred to the experience as an important opportunity to expand their professional performance.
"During these months, we correlated what we have learned in a different context with different approaches, which enriched our practice", pointed out the students.
The agreement was signed in 2013, Carolina Llanos a speech therapist graduated from the University of Cauca and current director of the Audiology program in Chilean University helped to make it possible.
