Minister of Education officially will give the Institutional Accreditation to the University of Cauca.
The event is scheduled for this Friday 4 October.
On Friday 4 October the Minister of National Education, Dra . María Fernanda Campo Saavedra, will officially hand over the resolution that grants the Institutional Accreditation of high quality to the University of Cauca. The ceremony will be held at the auditorium Francisco Jose de Caldas starting at 9:30 a.m.
"We expect the participation of all the university community and representatives of society in general in this significant event for our alma mater, as it unicauca among the best universities of the country ", said the rector of the Universidad del Cauca , Dr . Juan Diego Castrillon Orrego.
We must remember that in April this year, the Ministry of Education notified that Unicauca was granted with the accreditation for a period of six years, through the Resolution 3218 of 2013, after a self-assessment process that developed in the different axis that make up the institutional dynamics.
The work that contributed the previous administrators toward achieving this recognition will be highlighted during this academic event. This recognition should therefore be a source of pride not only for the university community, but also for the society in general.
"The accreditation recognize the high quality of the postulates, missions and institutional projects and the social, cultural and pedagogical relevance of the initiatives. It also confirms that the Universidad del Cauca fulfills its functions in the fields of action of the higher education, institutional climate, resource management and overall performance" , the Rector expressed.
In order to grant this recognition, the National Accreditation Council, has into account the fulfillment of the general objectives of higher education that Includes comprehensive training, creation, development and transfer of knowledge, as well as her the contribution to the training of professionals and to the consolidation of academic communities. The University del Cauca fully complies with all those those features making it worthy of such recognition.
Upon completion, the Resolution of the Institutional Accreditation will be placed in the Badges Room of the University of Cauca, located in the Faculty of Law, Political and Social Sciences, where all awards given to the institution during its 186 years of work are displayed.
