It was highly praised the work of the institution in the dissemination of knowledge to contribute to the quality of life of communities, sustainable development and peaceful coexistence.

The Board of Rectors of the University Network of Colombia (RUDECOLOMBIA), gave to the University of Cauca an appreciation resolution in recognition of

the six-year institutional accreditation received by the Ministry of Education.

The rectors recognized the quality levels achieved by the Alma Mater, which are reflected in the academic programs, the structure of the organization and the fulfillment of the social function.

In the same way, they recognized the achievements are due to the hard work and effort of the university community, the dissemination of knowledge to improve the quality of life of communities and contribute to sustainable development and consolidation of democracy as well as the peaceful coexistence.

The resolution, which was signed by the rector of the University of Nariño, Dr. José Edmundo Calvache and given to the rector of the University of Cauca, Dr. Juan Diego Castrillon Orrego.  The event was held at the campus of the University of Magdalena.
