Officially announced through Rectoral Resolution No. 1313 on October 31, 2024, this competition aims to fill 45 vacant teaching positions across various academic programs. The call for applications opened on November 1, 2024, and closed on January 14, 2025, attracting hundreds of candidates from across the country. Subsequently, a thorough review of the requirements and a rigorous evaluation of academic and professional profiles were conducted, concluding this stage on January 28, 2025.
With the recent publication of the results—which can be consulted in detail in Communiqué 054—the competition now moves toward its third stage, scheduled to begin on April 25. It is also important to mention that, through Resolution VRA 173 issued on April 9, 2025, certain positions were declared void due to the applicants not meeting the minimum established requirements. Therefore, interested individuals are encouraged to carefully review this resolution.
This process not only aims to strengthen the teaching staff at the University of Cauca but also seeks to attract professionals committed to education, research, and social outreach. It is part of a broader effort to consolidate a University that is #HeritageOfAll, dedicated to forming professionals with integrity, committed to building a fairer and more equitable society. The competition is expected to conclude with the appointment of the selected candidates for a probationary period during the first academic semester of 2026.
Finally, the University of Cauca sincerely thanks all participants thus far for placing their trust in our institution and for their genuine desire to join this academic community, committed to quality education, critical thinking, and regional and national development. Your participation strengthens this competition and reaffirms the crucial importance of having teachers who share our mission: to educate, research, and transform society through academia.
