The Universidad of Cauca and The Dispute Administrative Court of Cauca formed an academic committee.

The Universidad of Cauca and The Dispute Administrative Court of Cauca formed an academic committee responsible for organizing an international forum on reparations to victims of the armed conflict.  The event will be held in March 2014.

This committee is composed of teachers from the Faculty of Law, Political and Social Sciences and members of the Court, who proposed the topics and speakers to be invited for the development of the event.

"This is an alliance of two institutions that have been intertwined for their work on administrative litigation, so we want to offer our full support to hold this event," said the rector of the University of Cauca, Dr. Juan Diego Castrillon Orrego.

He said that the Alma Mater will help on hosting the forum with the help of contacts, teachers, and researchers, from international institutions such as the University of Notre Dame, the National Autonomous University of Mexico, the University of Seville, among others, as well as teachers and national law enforcement professionals who can offer their advice on the successful victim’s reparation.

The event will be held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Administrative Court of Cauca.

"The post-conflict will set up a democratic political model, which is the national government's strategy for the development of themes, such as the issue of victims who have been suffering because of the conflict in our country," said the Rector.

Dr. Carmen Amparo Ponce, President of the Court, emphasized on the link that the two institutions have had (?) during a 100-year of history. "The Dispute Administrative Court of was one of the first to be created in the country.   It owes its history to the University of Cauca, since most judges have been teachers and graduates from the institution and have built a permanent relationship, "she said.

She said that the best way to celebrate these 100 years is a academic event, so she has contacted the University of Cauca to organize it with the presence of national and international speakers.
