At the end of March 2025, nearly a thousand new professionals will receive their degrees

Thanks to the strategies implemented by the current administration to promote timely graduation, for the first time in the history of the Alma Mater of Cauca, two consecutive days of collective graduation ceremonies will be held. This long-awaited and emotional event will take place on Friday, March 28, and Saturday, March 29, 2025, ensuring not only the solemnity of this significant moment for Unicaucan graduates but also allowing them to be accompanied by their loved ones.

A total of 966 students are completing a fundamental stage in their lives. Due to the high number of candidates for collective graduation, the University of Cauca has, for the first time in its history, scheduled two ceremony sessions. This decision seeks to preserve the solemnity of the occasion and provide graduates the opportunity to share this special milestone with their families. Unlike previous years, the ceremonies on March 28 and 29, 2025, will be organized by program rather than by faculty. Therefore, we encourage all graduates to check their ceremony details in the following links to avoid any misunderstandings:

"This fills us with happiness because we know that achieving this goal represents immense joy for our students and their families. Furthermore, we are not only celebrating undergraduate graduations but also master's, doctoral, and specialization degrees, reaffirming our commitment to education at all levels," expressed Dr. Deibar René Hurtado Herrera, Rector of the University of Cauca, visibly moved.

The high number of students participating in these first 2025 graduation ceremonies is largely the result of measures implemented by the university administration to ensure timely graduation. These measures include:

Flexible requirements for preparatory exams in the Law program.

More frequent offerings of the Foreign Language Proficiency Exam (PSI).

Increased capacity in language courses, facilitated by the Academic Vice-Rector’s Office.

Continuous academic semesters over the past three years, allowing students to complete their programs within the expected timeframe.

In this regard, Dr. Aída Patricia González Nieva, Academic Vice-Rector of the University of Cauca, stated:

"Today, we proudly share that nearly a thousand Unicaucan graduates will receive their degrees in the ceremonies on March 28 and 29. This is the first time in history that we must divide the ceremonies over two days, and that fills us with excitement and satisfaction. For the administration, it is rewarding to see how we are fulfilling our commitment to transforming lives."

Thus, we remind all graduates to verify the exact date and time of their ceremony to ensure a smooth and memorable experience on this special day.

From this great institution, which is #HeritageForAll, we celebrate with immense pride this historic milestone, hoping it will be the first of many to come. Our commitment remains to educate professionals with the skills and conviction to build a more just and equitable society, transforming not only their own lives but also those around them through their service.

Congratulations in advance to those who will soon be #ProudlyUnicaucanGraduates! We share in your excitement as you complete this academic journey.
