Professor, sign up and participate in the spaces of university democracy where you are the protagonist.
The University of Cauca, through Resolution R - 0440 of 2024, invites professors to participate in the elections to choose their representatives for the Academic Council, the Internal Committee for Score Assignment and Recognition (CIARP), the Central Faculty Committee, and the Workplace Coexistence Committee.
Until May 8, 2024, this regional center of thought invites its professors to a democratic exercise to elect their representatives for the following collegial bodies: the Academic Council, the Internal Committee for Score Assignment and Recognition (CIARP), the Central Faculty Committee, and the Workplace Coexistence Committee.
In this context, we invite you, professor, to be part of this important exercise that fosters university democracy, where different proposals are discussed and developed to strengthen the processes that allow us to transform lives through education. In this way, we further strengthen this university of excellence and solidarity, which is everyone's heritage and that we build together.
Thus, Resolution R - 0440 of 2024 establishes that the registration of candidates for professor representatives must be done through a letter addressed by each candidate to the Secretary General of the University of Cauca, with the support of at least five signatures. These signatures will serve as express certification of the candidate's consent, which will be understood as granted with the signature. Additionally, the administrative act defines that the election for these university democracy spaces will take place on Friday, May 31, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, through the Institutional Voting System (SIVOT) platform.
From the Alma Mater Caucana, we reiterate this invitation in two ways: on one hand, directed to all professors who, inspired by their work, wish to contribute to strengthening our institution; and on the other hand, urging everyone to actively participate with their vote, which is crucial in promoting university democracy and setting an example for the students being educated in this institution.
