University of Cauca Health Unit Opens Call for Appointment of Director. If interested, apply by May 10.

The Health Unit of the University of Cauca has begun the process of appointing a new director, who will serve for a maximum term of three years. For this reason, a call for applications has been opened and will be available until May 10, 2024.

The Health Unit of the University of Cauca, established by Agreement 022 on May 21, 2001, is a specialized department of our Alma Mater, attached to the Rector’s Office and regulated by Agreement 010 of 2010. It is responsible for ensuring and providing health services, which underscores the importance of having a qualified professional to lead its operations. Therefore, with the clear intention of finding someone to undertake the challenging task of directing this department for the next three years, the unit is opening a call for applications through Resolution CDS 008 of April 4, 2024, to appoint a new director for a maximum term of three years.

For those who are not familiar with the Health Unit, it is responsible for providing teachers, retirees, and administrative staff of the University of Cauca and their families with the necessary well-being to carry out their work. It offers medium-complexity services, contributing to one of our core principles: transforming lives!

Therefore, for those interested in applying for this position, we share the following dates and steps to follow to make your application effective:

  • Receipt of resumes and attachments: May 6 to May 10, 2024.
  • Verification of resumes and eligibility requirements: May 13 to May 17, 2024.
  • Notification and publication of selected candidates for presentation and interview: May20, 2024.
  • Presentation and interviews before the Health Council: May 27 to May 29, 2024.
  • Publication of final results: May 30, 2024.
  • Appointment of the director by the Health Unit Council: June 1, 2024.
  • Start date for the position: June 1, 2024.

It is important to mention that the administrative act stipulates in its second article, in accordance with Agreement 010 of 2010, that the required profile for the position of Director of the Health Unit includes being an active Colombian citizen, holding a university degree, and having at least four years of professional experience in executive or senior advisory roles.

Resumes that meet the requirements established by Resolution CDS 008 must be submitted in a sealed envelope to Calle 5 No. 4 -70 B/ Centro, in the Document Management area (single window), addressed to Dr. Jorge Enrique Barrera Moreno, Delegated President of the Health Council. Submission hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
