La Universidad -

An explosion of creativity, joy, and talent filled the University of Cauca on March 21st during the 1st Talent, Skills, and Entrepreneurship Fair organized by the Faculty of Civil Engineering. This event, organized by the Faculty's administration and the Culture and Well-being Committee, turned into a vibrant celebration of the diverse skills and entrepreneurial spirit of the members of our educational community.

Voices that captivated, bodies that moved to the rhythm of the music, hands that created magic, and minds that devised businesses formed a multicolored mosaic of skills that left all the attendees amazed. The ventures, ranging from delicious sweets and apicultural products to creative garments and works of art, reflected the initiative and ingenuity of those being trained in this faculty of engineers. Who would have thought, but these young people also stand out in many other fields.

But this fair was not only a space for students. Professors also demonstrated their versatility and passion for their hobbies outside the academic realm. For example, Professor Carlos Alberto Gómez surprised everyone with his talent for turning his expertise in the field of architecture into cartoons, sharing his creative and fun side. And here’s a detail that many might not know: this talented University of Cauca member creates a cartoon every two weeks, which is published on our digital channels under the hashtag #ReflexionandoAndo. Isn’t that cool?

Thus, without fear of being mistaken, we can say that the 1st Talent, Skills, and Entrepreneurship Fair was more than just an event; it was a genuine expression of all the wonderful things happening at this place that is #PatrimonioDeTodos. Here, the talent, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit that characterize the educational community of the Faculty of Civil Engineering shone brightly. This event will undoubtedly become a tradition, as expressed by the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Juan Carlos Casas, who envisions that the next edition will have an even greater impact on our University of Cauca community, possibly inspiring other faculties to hold their own editions.

Thanks to the work and dedication of the Faculty's administration, the Culture and Well-being Committee, and, of course, the enthusiastic participation of students, professors, and administrative staff, the fair was a resounding success. It left an important mark and encouraged us to continue believing in the potential of our community. Congratulations to those who brought this dream to life!
