Graduates from the Master's in Computer Science share their professional experiences

The event held on September 29 provided a space to update knowledge and select the representative of the graduates for the Program Committee of the Master's in Computer Science.

With the participation of professors, administrators, and graduates, the postgraduate program at the University of Cauca, the Master's in Computer Science, conducted an event called 'Sharing experiences with graduates' on September 29.

Taking place at the Azul Hall of the San Martín Hotel, the activity was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications, Alejandro Toledo Tovar, and graduate Beatriz Eugenia Grass, who delivered a talk titled 'The Master's in Computer Science: a tool for managing an IT company.' This lecture served as a starting point for the exchange of experiences.

Likewise, Sandra Lorena Buitrón was selected as the representative of the graduates for the Program Committee of the Master's in Computer Science, a designation that has been officially confirmed by the Council of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications.

 

The Master's in Computer Science program in research mode conducts research work in the following areas of interest:

  • Software Engineering: Process and product quality, process engineering and product lines, collaboration engineering, and usability.
  • Information Management: Data mining, data warehouses, information retrieval, web search, and the Internet of Things.
  • Intelligent Systems - Computational Intelligence: Neural networks, deep learning, metaheuristics, supervised and unsupervised learning, and agents. Information Technologies.
