The University of Cauca, through Rectoral Resolution No. 0836 of 2023, officially opened the second Public Merit Contest to fill 27 tenure-track professor positions that are currently vacant. The registration stage for the call began on August 22, 2023, and will extend until September 22 of the current year. This marks the first phase of an important process that will conclude on February 2, 2024, when the final results will be published.

In compliance with the commitment to ensure stability and well-being to its university community, recognized as its most valuable asset, the Cauca Alma Mater shares with great excitement that the second merit contest to fill 27 tenure-track professor positions is underway for the following departments:

Department of Social and Family Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Department of Public Law, Department of Philosophy, Department of Languages, Department of Anthropology, Department of Biology, Department of Physics, Department of Structures, Department of Hydraulics, Department of Labor Law, Department of Political Science, Department of Design, Department of History, Department of Spanish and Literature, Department of Agricultural Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy, Department of Speech Therapy, Department of Surgical Sciences, Department of Anesthesia, Department of Pediatrics, Department of Morphology, Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Department of Nursing, Department of Construction, and Department of Tourism.

"This call has allowed us as an institution to establish new tools, new administrative processes that make this more transparent to the community in general and also broaden the participation of applicants," said Aída Patricia González Nieva, Academic Vice-Rector of the University of Cauca, emphasizing that this is a process governed by the principles of meritocracy.

In compliance with Superior Agreement 085 of 2021, aimed at ensuring a percentage of tenure-track professors at the University of Cauca, and with the firm purpose of continuing to raise its quality standards, we specially invite those interested in participating in this merit-based recruitment process to carefully read each of the profiles presented in the link 'Merit Contest Tenure-Track Professors, II Academic Period 2023,' as well as the Aspirants Bank, strictly following the instructions to upload the corresponding documentation.

Publication and citation of the list of applicants continuing to the psychotechnical test phase: December 01, 2023.

Administration of the test: December 06, 2023.

Publication on the University of Cauca website of the Resolution of the eligible list: December 18, 2023.

Petitions for reconsideration against the Resolution of the eligible list: From December 19 to 22, 2023, and from January 11 to 18, 2024.

Publication on the University of Cauca website of the definitive list of eligible candidates: February 02, 2024.
