Unicauca, Higher Education Institution committed to the implementation of clean energies.
The Center for Quality Management and Institutional Accreditation installed two solar panels at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Exact Sciences, and Education. The university community will be able to make use of this type of energy.
Through investment resources from the project named 'Strengthening the Environmental Management System of the University of Cauca,' affiliated with the Center for Quality Management and Institutional Accreditation, two solar panels were installed at the Faculty of Exact Natural Sciences and Education. Placed on the roof area facing the Admissions, Registration, and Academic Control Division, these panels will serve the purpose of energy saving and are part of the commitment and responsibility to implementing clean energies. The university community will be able to utilize this type of energy through various power outlets located on the first floor, behind the bathrooms, and on the second floor, along the hallway leading to the Communications Management Center.
Our country has significant advantages due to its location in the equatorial zone and the presence of varied climates and ecosystems, favoring the generation of energy from alternative sources, aiming for a nature-friendly change.
Solar panels stand as one of the greatest allies for the preservation of the planet and the quality of life for future generations. They aid in environmental conservation, which has been deteriorated by human actions, and are beneficial in terms of utilizing renewable energy sources.
Together, we can shift the current environmental forecasts, and the use of renewable energies is one of the most feasible tools to achieve this. Let's think green and commit to sustainability."
