Professor César Alberto Collazos will be part of Technical Committee 13, corresponding to the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), where he will serve as the representative for Latin America, leading research processes in this area.

César Alberto Collazos, affiliated with the Department of Systems at the University of Cauca and coordinator of the IDIS group (Research and Development in Software Engineering), has been chosen as the representative of the Latin American Center for Studies in Informatics (CLEI) before the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP).

In this role, the faculty member of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications will be part of Technical Committee 13, focusing on the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) field, representing Latin America and leading research processes in this related area.

The University of Cauca has been a member of CLEI for several years, and through the management and leadership of Professor Collazos in the HCI Working Group, he was selected to be the representative to this important organization. One of the initial tasks the professor will undertake is to disseminate research conducted in the field of HCI in Latin America, thus establishing new possibilities for collaboration in the region.

"It is worth mentioning that the HCI field is one of the research lines within the IDIS group for several years, which is part of the research lines in the Master's in Computing and the Doctorate in Electronic Sciences at the University of Cauca," added the professor, who is also the coordinator of the HCI-Collab Network, a Collaborative Network to support teaching and learning processes in Human-Computer Interaction at the Ibero-American level.

"We hope to unite the diverse efforts of various networks and consolidate policies for joint work, thus strengthening HCI research in Latin American countries," he emphasized.
