Graduate students from Unicauca develop Mexico-Colombia academic exchange

The students who are part of the VI cohort of the Doctorate in Ethnobiology and Biocultural Studies, will carry out from May 6 to 13 an exchange of methodological experiences in recognition of Latin American interculturality and bioculturality.

 

The academic mobility activity in Mexico is carried out within the framework of inter-institutional agreements between the University of Cauca with the University of Tlaxcala (CIISDER) and the Universidad Veracruzana (CITRO), with their respective postgraduate programs in Territories and in Biodiversity.

 

The students will participate in the II Colombia – Mexico Academic Exchange. Biocultural Studies that takes place from May 9 to 11 in Xalapa, and at the IV Mexico - Colombia Binational Meeting. Lessons, Learning and New Perspectives on Natures, Cultures and Biocultural Territories, which takes place from May 6 to 8 in Tlaxcala, spaces where there will be presentations, thematic meetings, visits to environmental and biocultural management experiences and contributions from teachers and community members will be shared of the rural areas of the center of this control

The activity has the support of the Doctorate in Ethnobiology and Biocultural Studies attached to the Faculty of Natural, Exact and Education Sciences, guided by professors Luis German Gómez and Olga Lucia Sanabria Diago, together with Pedro Ortiz, Adriana Montoya, Teresa Cabrera from the University of Tlaxcala and Citlalli López from the Center for Tropical Studies and Cristina Núñez from Xalapa, CRITO Ecodialogue Center in Veracruz.
