Next Friday, May 12, at the Francisco José de Caldas Auditorium, starting at 10:00 in the morning, we will be waiting for you to tell you how we are doing. This day we will hold the Public Accountability Hearing for the 2022 term and we want to count on your presence.

At the head of the rector, Dr. Deibar René Hurtado Herrera, our Alma Mater will present the 2022 Accountability Report to our university community and all interested parties. In this space for citizen participation, the Plan of Development of the previous administration "Committed to Territorial Peace" and we will show the progress that the current Development Plan, "For a University of Excellence and Solidarity", has to date since we are close to completing one year of management under the leadership of the new management team.

Thus, from all the dependencies of the University of Cauca, work has been carried out on the consolidation of a report to publicize the way in which the actions are carried out within our institution, complying with the principles of transparency, participatory democracy and democratization of public management. The above in the understanding that the entire university community, the Government (at the central and local level) and the population in general, have the right to know, first hand, the way in which from the Alma Mater of the Caucas public resources are managed, since we have the firm intention of continuing to strengthen trust and the present commitment between the University and society.

Our objective is to establish a space for participatory and inclusive dialogue, which allows to demonstrate the achievements obtained during the 2022 term; achievements aimed at meeting the needs of the entire university community, mainly our students, which is why we extend the invitation to join us on this occasion so that together we can continue building a 'University Committed to Territorial Peace, of Excellence and Solidarity’.

“The invitation is for all university students to participate in this Accountability process. To this end, we have been working to guarantee full access to information, and we have provided various tools so that those who wish to participate can do so," said Diana Melissa Muriel, Head of the Office of Planning and Institutional Development. In this sense, all people will have access to this space in person and virtually (through the Facebook FanPage and the YouTube channel of the University of Cauca), and they will also be able to register their questions and comments using the available form. by clicking here or filling out a form, which will be delivered during the Public Hearing to later be placed in a ballot box (from which some concerns are randomly chosen to be resolved).

Additionally, it should be noted that, from April 18 to 25, there will be socializations with the Accountability, corresponding to the different faculties of the University and that, on May 17, the Public Accountability Hearing at the northern headquarters located in the municipality of Santander de Quilichao.

This way, we seek to account for the closure of the previous Development Plan, the first year of administration headed by the rector, Dr. Deibar René Hurtado Herrera, and the transition to the next Development Plan, giving continuity to our commitment to be a University of Excellence and Solidarity.
