Unicauca thinks about the processes of Social Appropriation of Knowledge

With a visit to different IES, research professors from the University of Cauca review proposals and experiences in Social Appropriation of Knowledge and its possibilities of administrative management.

Within the framework of the Special Cooperation Agreement No. 80740-405-2021/062-2022, creation of Units for the Social Appropriation of Knowledge, the University of Cauca visited eight Higher Education Institutions nationwide, with the aim of learning about the experiences of Social Appropriation and explore processes of articulation, academic and research cooperation; in addition to knowing the administrative, operational and technical practices of the projects in progress at the national level.

 

The referencing route began with the Corporación Universitaria del Meta, in the city of Villavicencio, where the University of Cauca was attended by Jairo Tocancipá-Falla, Research Professor of the Department of Anthropology, and Héctor Samuel Villada Castillo, Director of the CYTBIA research group associated with the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, the professional Claudia Lucia Parra Arboleda, representing the Division of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Articulation with the Environment of the Vice-Rector for Research and on behalf of the University Corporation of Meta, Adela Parra Romero, Director of Research and Coordinator of the Unit for the Social Appropriation of Knowledge Universidad del Meta (UASCUM).

The institutions are part of fifteen beneficiary universities of the Call for the Creation of Social Appropriation Units organized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation and the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI): University Corporation del Meta, National University, Medellín campus, Pontifical Bolivarian University, University of the Coast, ICESI University, University Foundation of Health Sciences, Universidad del Bosque, Universidad del Rosario, Tecnológico de Pereira, Minuto de Dios University Corporation, Pilot University of Colombia, Universidad del Valle, University of Boyacá, Autonomous University of Manizales, University of Magdalena.

 

With this visit, it is expected to contribute to the management processes, for the creation of units/offices for the Social Appropriation of Knowledge. In our Alma Mater, information related to the products of the research groups that are identified with processes of social appropriation of knowledge in the period 2019-2021 is being collected.

 

In this regard, work will continue on the consolidation of the information for the preceding and current periods. Since the beginning of the creation of the proposal and execution of the agreement, the co-investigators Lily Marcela Palacios and German Antonio Arboleda have participated
