Unicauca Stereo is celebrating its birthday: today we celebrate and exalt the regional positioning of the sound universe of cultures

32 years ago, on March 28, 1991, through an academic act in the Auditorium Francisco José de Caldas, Unicauca Stereo 104.1 “The Sound Universe of Cultures” was inaugurated, the public interest station of our Alma Mater, a means of communication that for more than three decades has recorded through its microphones the daily events of our region.

Today we dress up to celebrate the perseverance and commitment of the entire team that for more than three decades has made it possible for Unicauca Stereo to remain on the air at the service of the community, providing a grid of content that has been adjusted with the time, according to the demands of the context, but always with the firm conviction of promoting and disseminating human values, citizen education and public debate. We are especially grateful to the students, teachers, administrators, graduates, external people and radio communication groups, who through their passion for radio have contributed to the consolidation of this university radio space because, without a doubt, without each one of them, our work through this means of communication, would not be possible.

Understanding then the relevance of this date, we could not let this great celebration go unnoticed, so that throughout this month of March we were celebrating our joy through different spaces; spaces made available to our entire audience and to the general public. We began the celebration with the XXIV Anniversary of the radio program "Rhythms and Songs", which took place on March 10, 2023, in the Fundadores hall of the Santo Domingo Cloister, with the conference "Female Talent in Music". Then, on Saturday March 11, the XXI Meeting of Music Lovers and Collectors was held, with the theme “Music with the essence of a woman. Music performed by women.

We will continue to strengthen ourselves as a Bicentennial University of Excellence and Solidarity whose objective is, through all its communication channels, to reach every corner of our region, promoting constructive dialogue that allows for spaces for feedback, education, entertainment and peace building.

Happy 32 years to our beloved Unicauca Stereo and to all the people who make it possible to continue on the air day after day!
