Once again, the Universicleta program is available to our entire university community, a commitment of the Vice-Rector for Culture and Well-being framed in the need to seek economic alternatives for transportation, encourage physical activity, and promote care for the environment.

In 2018, this initiative was born under the idea of promoting the concept of Green University within our Alma Mater, to exalt and provide among the members of our community the benefits of taking care of physical health, while protecting the around. So, this project is working through the services of the company Arcosoft, who are in charge of preparing the stations, obtaining the bicycles and the provision of the software that allows the loan and monitoring of the bikes. cool right?

 

Universicleta, in addition to being a commitment to promote healthier lifestyles, is also a space for students to contribute to the Institution and their training as professionals, through volunteering, since, through a training process, The students who wish to be part of this project can approve FISH.

 

“It seems to me that it is a program that is easily accessible and that it offers many benefits and facilities for student volunteers and for those who require the service,” said Isabela Solarte, a volunteer for the Universitekta initiative and a student of the Bachelor's Degree in Spanish and English.

 

Juan Camilo Espinosa, a Business Administration student and also a Universicleta volunteer, narrates the way in which students volunteer. "What we do here is to be aware of the bicycles that are in each of the stations, we take care of verifying that people meet the requirements and thus can access the service."

 

In this regard, the Vice Chancellor for Culture and Well-being, César Alfaro, indicated: "The invitation is so that students and the entire university community can make use of this initiative, in the stations they can find volunteers who can attend them and thus be able to enjoy the U by Bike”.

 

Finally, to make use of Universicleta you must enter the page and register; Once the process is complete, you can go to any of the stations with your university card and your identification document, so you can buy your bike and get around for a period of two hours.
