Coffee: Dynamics for dialogue, exchange, learning and assessment of knowledge

The ECoS-CTeİ project prepared and developed together with TECNICAFÉ a very productive day to share experiences around coffee.

The TECNICAFÉ technology park was the setting where on Friday, March 10, 2023, partners, allies, researchers, the technical team of the ECoS-CTeİ project and coffee producers met to discuss, learn, exchange experiences and value the knowledge behind a cup of coffee.

 

"This means that participating and coming here brings me closer to knowing processes and being able to bring ideas to my territory, so that people are motivated to cultivate the land and not lose all the natural wealth that we have in front of us," Patricia commented. The dynamic was accompanied and guided by managers and experts linked to TECNICAFÉ, who made available to visitors all the information and knowledge about the different forms of production, the harvesting process and the kinds of special coffee that can be found on any farm. coffee maker from Cauca, the physical analysis that must be done post-harvest, its fermentation and the art of learning to prepare a good coffee, and living the experience in coffee cupping for non-tasters.

In this regard, Rafael Bermúdez, TECNICAFÉ Knowledge Management Coordinator, stated: "We believe that these spaces allow us to tell our allies and partners that this technology park is precisely to boost their level of knowledge of the coffee production chain."

These spaces that are projected and organized by the ECoS-CTeİ Project, together with partners and allies, are part of the activities to generate culture, to motivate the exchange and appreciation of knowledge and to identify what can be of use to others and that they can put it to use.

"Among the great lessons that today's experience has taught us is sharing with everyone, interacting, testimonials and identifying so much knowledge in the harvesting and transformation processes and the level of professionalism of the TECNICAFÉ team," he concluded.
