ORMET Cauca starts 2023 activities schedule

The space where different public and private institutions come together, including the University of Cauca, raises the management of information, analysis, monitoring and prospective of the issues that characterize the regional labor market in Cauca.

The Regional Observatory of the Labor Market, ORMET Cauca, began its activities, plans and agenda for the year 2023 with a meeting that took place on January 31 at the Merchants Auditorium of the Cauca Chamber of Commerce, where the Agreement was delivered. of Wills to participating organizations and institutions.

 "The Observatory is a unit made up of public and private institutions, dedicated to the achievement of information, analysis, monitoring and prospective of the themes that characterize the regional labor market, where the University of Cauca exercises the Academic coordination" indicated the professor of the Department of Economic Sciences, Claudia Liceth Fajardo Hoyos, who has been leading this technical panel for several years.

ORMET has been operating for more than eight years in the region. The participating partners are: Mayor's Office of Popayán, University of Cauca, Chamber of Commerce, SENA, DANE, Cauca Sectional Ministry of Labor, Cooperative University, Government of Cauca, Unicomfacauca, Comfacauca Employment Agency. The academic coordination of the Observatory is carried out by the University of Cauca and the Technical Secretariat is in charge of the Chamber of Commerce of Cauca, who lead the ORMET processes in the territory.

In this way, it is dedicated to the achievement of information, analysis, monitoring and prospective of the themes that characterize the regional labor market, in an inter-institutional space, which focuses on the construction of information and carrying out studies and research, useful to guide and improve the relevance of the decisions of the actors who participate in the labor market.

It proposes among its participation scenarios: the Subcommittee for agreement on labor and salary policies of Cauca; Technical support to the Observatory for Women's Affairs of the Government of Cauca; Pact for employment Government of Cauca and the Feminist Economy Table of Cauca.
