Unicauca Physiotherapy in the process of self-evaluation for the renewal of the High Quality Accreditation
The academic program that is part of the undergraduate offer of the Faculty of Health Sciences obtained the High Quality Accreditation in 2018 and renewed its Qualified Registry in October 2020.
"The Physiotherapy Program of the University of Cauca is in the process of self-evaluation for the renewal of the high quality Accreditation. We invite the entire university community to join us and participate in this process."
With these words, Professor Andrés Felipe Villaquirán Hurtado, Head of the Department of Physiotherapy announced that the program of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Cauca is in the process of self-evaluation for the renewal of the high quality Accreditation. The socialization activities, surveys and others with the different actors of this important process will start next Monday, January 25 of this year.
The Physiotherapy program obtained the High Quality Accreditation in 2018, which is a testimony given by the State about the quality of a program or institution based on a previous evaluation process in which the institution, the academic communities intervene and the National Accreditation Council.
This program was created through Agreement 050 of 1997 by the Superior Council of the University of Cauca, beginning its operation with the first class held on February 12, 1998. The Program is attached to the Faculty of Health Sciences, and gives response to a great expectation for training of professionals in the area of health in young people in the region.
The Physiotherapist graduated from the University of Cauca can practice his profession throughout the National territory and validate the degree in the international arena according to the regulations required by the higher education laws of the host country.
