The University of Cauca joins this initiative of the Century of Man Publishing and publishers of Colombian universities to temporarily support the country's bookstores.

The doors of the bookstores were closed for almost two months and even today most of them remain unopened. Without the bookstores, without their booksellers, without their exhibition spaces, trust and affection for our books, the goal of reaching readers is incomplete.

The campaign Hurray for libraries: https://libreriasiglo.com/noticias-eventos/ver/174-que-vivan-las-librerias.html#.XtUUrjpKg6Y   is a proposal of the Century of Man Publishing and 12 Colombian universities, including Universidad del Cauca Publishing: http://www.unicauca.edu.co/editorial/ , who designed a solidarity project that, in addition to signifying financial support, reaffirms its commitment to an agent fundamental of the book circulation chain.

All readers who buy books from participating publishers will be able to allocate, without increasing the value of their purchase, 20% of the price of the book to a bookstore in Colombia. Each reader, in each purchase, will be able to choose the bookstore that they want to benefit, and if their purchase is greater than 50 thousand pesos, the shipping cost, even nationwide, will be at our expense. The reader will be able to buy more than once and will be able to change the bookstore in each transaction; the campaign does not include electronic books and will be valid until July 31, 2020.

Since 2018, “Siglo del Hombre” Publishing and University of Cauca Publishing have an agreement for the distribution and commercialization of works endorsed by the Alma Mater publishing label, allowing greater visibility of production at the national level.
