Through Academic Agreements 028, 029 and 030, the calendar for academic activities that will be oriented between April 15 and June 29, 2020 was established.

 

Framed in Directive Resolution R-0247 that determined preventive isolation measures and suspended activities within the physical spaces between April 13 and June 29, 2020, the Academic Council of the University of Cauca in a virtual session on 21 April established the calendar for the courses and other academic activities that will be guided in accordance with the offer of each Department for the period between April 13 and June 29, through the use of information and communication technologies TICS.

 

The Academic Agreement 030 starts from the national provisions especially Decree 417 of 2020 on the State of Economic, Social and Ecological Emergency throughout the national territory due to the spread of the COVID-19 Virus, and Legislative Decree 491 of 2020 that indicates some criteria that Higher Education Institutions must take into account, especially in the provision of services during the period of mandatory preventive isolation.

 

In this way, the Academic Council of the University of Cauca proposes the following schedule for the activities:

 

 

Start: April 13, 2020

 

Registration Academic Offer - Non-classroom Courses: April 20 to 24, 2020

 

Academic enrollments: From April 27 to May 3, 2020

 

Start of classes: May 4, 2020

 

Development of non-face-to-face courses: From May 4 to June 28, 2020

 

Record of Notes - Non-classroom Courses: Until June 28, 2020

 

Class Completion - Non-classroom Courses: June 28, 2020

 

SIMCA platform closure: June 29, 2020

 

Collective Teacher Holidays: 15 working days: Between 01 and 22 July 2020

 

Administrative Collective Holidays: 17 calendar days: Between 01 and 17 July 2020

 

Likewise, in virtual sessions of April 17 and 20, 2020, the University Corporation issued Academic Agreement 028 on criteria for assigning academic work for regular and occasional teachers related to direct teaching for this period, and Academic Agreement 029 for 2020 that modifies Agreement 002 of 2020 and establishes the calendar for postgraduate programs during the First Period of 2020.
