La Universidad -

Professor César Jesús Pardo Calvache, affiliated with the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications, served as one of the keynote speakers at the VII International Congress on Ambient Intelligence, Software Engineering, and Electronic and Mobile Health (AmITIC 2024), held in the city of David, Panama, from September 25 to 27.

The city of David became the epicenter of technological innovation thanks to the VII International Congress on Ambient Intelligence, Software Engineering, and Electronic and Mobile Health (AmITIC 2024), held from September 23 to 27 in the Republic of Panama. The event brought together researchers from countries such as Norway, Spain, Costa Rica, Mexico, Colombia, and of course, Panama. This significant gathering featured experts and professionals from the tech field, with Professor César Pardo from the University of Cauca standing out as one of the keynote speakers.

In his conference titled 'Challenges and Lessons Learned for Scaling Agile Approaches in Global Software Development,' Professor Pardo emphasized the importance of agility in an increasingly globalized and changing work environment, as well as the challenges organizations face when implementing these methods. 'Agile approaches are not just a trend; they are a necessity in current software development. However, scaling these methods requires a deep understanding of organizational culture and collaboration among geographically dispersed teams,' stated Professor Pardo.

Thus, AmITIC 2024 gathered hundreds of technology professionals from diverse backgrounds, facilitating a fruitful exchange of ideas and experiences. Professor César's presence as a keynote speaker highlights our Alma Mater's role as a leading institution in training professionals in technology and innovation.
