In Unicauca we are fulfilling at a high level

On the morning of Friday, May 12, 2023, at the Francisco José de Caldas Auditorium, the rector, Dr. Deibar René Hurtado Herrera, together with the vice-chancellors of the University of Cauca, in an exercise of transparency and commitment to the community university and society in general rendered accounts of the execution carried out during the year 2022.

Thus, at the Public Hearing on Accountability for the 2022 Validity, called "Territorial Peace, Excellence and Solidarity", the rector began his presentation by highlighting the 7 most relevant achievements achieved during 2022, the year in which the for finalizing the Institutional Development Plan of the previous rectoral plan, the same whose balance closed with an execution percentage of 87.73%, which represents an outstanding execution according to the ranking of the National Planning Department DNP. Thus, among the achievements made during the 2022 term, the participatory construction and full approval by the Superior Council of the Institutional Development Plan 2023-2027, "For a University of Excellence and Solidarity", stands out.

 

 

 

 

 

Likewise, it highlights the filing before the House of Representatives of the bill to expand the University of Cauca Stamp, as well as Superior Agreement 049 of 2022, by means of which it is stipulated that 70% of the quotas of the programs offered at the North Headquarters will be for young people from the 13 municipalities of northern Cauca. In the same way, there is the investment of more than 600 million pesos for student mobility, 200 million executed to decongest the preparations for the Law program, 7 billion for the Quality Promotion Plan and finally the important participation and consolidation of the university in scenarios for the construction of the long-awaited Peace.

 

For her part, the Academic Vice Chancellor, Dr. Aida Patricia Gonzalez, presented the most important achievements for 2022, among which the Institutional Improvement Plan stands out, a process that has a compliance percentage of 82.7% and the implementation of calls semesters for public competitions of merits. In line with this interesting exercise, within the presentation of the Administrative Vice Chancellor, Dr. Jorge Enrique Barrera Moreno, it is important to take into account the strengthening of access to higher education through the Gratuity Policy, in addition to efficiency and improvement of the processes for the administration of public resources.

 

In the same way, the Vice Chancellor for Culture and Well-being, teacher César Alfaro, presented to the participants the great achievements obtained in terms of university well-being and the construction of cultural spaces that are committed to Territorial Peace, always seeking to support the and young people who are trained at the University of Cauca.
