La Universidad -

Two students from the Agroindustrial Engineering program at the University of Cauca received recognition for the best presentation at the ninth edition of the International Congress of Agroindustrial Engineering held by the Universidad Autónoma-Chapingo in Mexico.

Students Yesica Jhoana Benavides Escobar and John Alexander Muelas delivered an oral presentation at the IX International Congress of Agroindustrial Engineering, which took place between October 23rd and 27th of the current year at the Universidad Autónoma Chapingo in Mexico.

During the event, the students presented a paper related to their thesis work titled 'Evaluation of Chlorella vulgaris Biomass Production Using Low-Cost Nutrients,' which received recognition as the best presentation in the 'Engineering and Innovation in Food Processes' category.

While the recognition was given in the name of one of the individuals involved in the development of the work due to the organizers' recommendation to register a single presenter, it should be clarified that the presentation was delivered by the Unicaucano students Yesica Jhonana Benavides and John Alexander Muelas. They are currently conducting research work in the Agroindustrial Engineering program at the University of Cauca.

The University of Cauca takes pride in its students who elevate the name of the Alma Mater and the region on an international level, thus contributing to the construction of an excellent and supportive university that aims to strengthen knowledge exchange through participation in such events.
