Unicauca students 100% music talent
It is an artistic collective full of youth, joy, discipline and talent, the perfect mix that makes their presentations unforgettable. That was the feeling left by the group of boys and girls who in another of their many presentations, on August 8th, they treated the primitives during the semester welcome event in Santander de Quilichao.
The Musical Representative is made up of twelve students from several of the academic programs of the University of Cauca, among them Physical Engineering, Physiotherapy, Agroindustrial Engineering, and Modern Languages, many of which were linked to this process from the artistic seedlings promoted by the Vicerrectoría de Cultura y Bienestar.
Eric José Sánchez Mopán, Bachelor in Music and Master in Instrument, graduated from the Alma Mater, is the leader of this group. He is part of the Vice-Rectory of Culture and Well-being orienting the music workshops and in the framework of his work he is in charge of the Representative Group and the seedlings of artistic expressions.
"The group is open to students who have the interest to be part of it. They can start with the seedlings so that we can later take them to the representative, "said Sánchez Mopán.
As for the repertoire indicated that "the advantage is that we have versatile guys," since they handle a wide musical spectrum. "Not only can we go to events where they like rock, we play everything a little: vallenato, ballad, salsa, pop, and we make our own versions of popular songs," said the maestro.
One of the vocalistas of the group is Angie Tatiana Banguera, who has been part of the musical representative for a little more than a year.
He said that being part of this musical group "fills me with pride", something that wants to share with all the students so I sent them the invitation to join the seedlings and gradually discover their talents in singing or in Some of the musical instruments, and join this combo that wherever goes put very high the name of the University of Cauca.
