Biyeidy Zambrano Becoche, from the Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications program, is among the 20 selected for this initiative led by Huawei Technologies Colombia S.A.S and the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies. This program aims to promote the development of young talents in areas related to innovation and new technologies.

Biyeidy Zambrano Becoche, a student from the Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications program at the University of Cauca, has been selected as a beneficiary of the eleventh edition of the Seeds for the Future program. This initiative, led by Huawei Technologies Colombia S.A.S in partnership with the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies (MinTIC), aims to encourage young people in Colombia to design and propose original and practical solutions through the use of technology to address social issues.

In the case of Biyeidy Zambrano Becoche, she presented a technological proposal addressing the challenges tourists face during peak times like Holy Week due to a lack of clear information, language barriers, and limited tourist services.

The 20 selected beneficiaries will have an experience in Mexico City at the Tecnológico de Monterrey. Here, they will receive training in topics related to new technologies, leadership, and innovation. For Biyeidy Zambrano Becoche, this will be an opportunity to develop a proposal aimed at improving the quality of tourist services in Popayán through a multilingual mobile application. The app will provide detailed information on tourist attractions, restaurants, events, and services in multiple languages. It will also allow for reservations, offer personalized routes, and utilize virtual and augmented reality to narrate the history of Popayán.
