Becerra Muñoz is the first undergraduate student from the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications at the University of Cauca to participate in this exchange under the collaboration between the two professors. During her academic stay, she will take courses such as Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, Introduction to Parallel Programming, Portuguese, and Research Project. Thanks to the latter course, she will receive a scientific initiation scholarship.
Regarding the collaboration between Professors Oscar Caicedo and Nelson Fonseca, it is worth highlighting that it began within the context of a dual-degree agreement at the doctoral level between the University of Campinas (Unicamp) and the University of Cauca (Unicauca). Under this agreement, Felipe Estrada became the first graduate to receive a Ph.D. in Telematics Engineering from Unicauca and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Unicamp.

Likewise, Edwin Ferney Castillo, a Ph.D. student in Telematics Engineering, is currently undergoing the same process to obtain both degrees.
Within the framework of the Unicamp – Unicauca academic mobility agreement, several master's and Ph.D. students have completed research internships. Among them are Ana Montoya (Master's in Telematics Engineering), Robinson Narváez, and Angélica Serna (Master's students in Telematics Engineering).
