Unicauca strengthens art and culture proposals in the region

The three calls organized by the Office of the Vice President for Culture and Welfare are part of the dynamics that society is experiencing today and seek to strengthen, make visible and support initiatives related to culture and social projection.

 

The Vice-Rectory for Culture and Well-being of the University of Cauca leads three important proposals for the university community and citizens in general: the seventh edition of the Call for Stimuli for Culture and Well-being Projects 2020, the National Prize for University Art 2020. Music Mode Instrumental - Classical Guitar, and the Confinement in Times of Pandemic 2020 Poetry, Micro-Story and Essay Contest

The Seventh Call for Stimuli for Culture and Well-being Projects 2020 allows to strengthen, make visible and support the different university students who work around university culture and well-being, within and in the social projection of our institution; in subjects related to culture, health, sport, human development, artistic training and research-creation. This recognition also allows supporting the initiatives that will later be implemented in the university environment, allowing the design of other ways of building interaction processes with the community on these issues from virtuality.

Likewise, the Seventh National Prize for University Art 2020. Instrumental Music - Classical Guitar modality is a space that in this version is aimed at music and focuses on classical guitar as a source of inspiration for many authors worldwide and within They are Latin American and Colombian authors who have elevated this instrument to levels of renowned aesthetic and harmonic sentiments and compositions. This is how this award focuses on recognizing the performers and the guitar as a sound element with different perspectives.

 

And for its part, the Confinement in Times of Pandemic 2020 poetry, micro-story and essay Contest is an initiative coordinated with the Office of the Vice President for Research and the Department of Spanish and Literature of the Faculty of Human Sciences that is linked to the celebration of the day of Languages ​​to celebrate the feast of letters, words and verse; in our context, of cultural and multilingual diversity. In addition, he pays tribute to the writer, Gloria Cepeda Vargas.
