The evaluation will take place in Popayan and Santander de Quilichao

With the logistics and security deployment ready, the Division of Admissions, Registration and Academic Control, and Regionalization Center of the University of Cauca, are prepared for the examination of admission to 9,400 applicants who registered for undergraduate programs to be offered during the academic year II of 2013.

The evaluation will take place on Tuesday, June 4th at different locations of the institution located in Popayan  and the new headquarters of the mega-school “Fernandez Guerra” in the municipality of Santander de Quilichao, the latter case for those registered in the regionalization programs offered in northern Cauca.

To this end, we count on the participation of faculty and staff of the institution, as well as the support staff of the University of Antioquia, through the interagency agreement, which exists for this purpose.  Also external entities are present such as the National Police, the Prosecutor, and the Colombian Red Cross Cauca Sectional, with a purpose to ensure normal development of the test, the only way to enter undergraduate programs offered by the University of Cauca.

Popayan

In Popayan, the test will be held in six venues of the institution within two days, one at 8:00 am and another at 2:00 pm. Those who attend the morning assessment should not return in the afternoon and vice versa. The venues where they will develop academic exercise are:

-School of Accounting, Economics and Management.

-Faculty of Health Sciences

-Faculty of Natural Sciences, Exact and Education

-Faculty of Civil Engineering

-Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications

-Faculty of Law, Political and Social Sciences

“It is important that the applicant arrives an hour before the place indicated in the citation, locate the rightful seat in advance, and bring what is required for the presentation of evidence,” said Jhan Alejandro Sandoval, chief of the Division of Admissions, Registration and Academic Control (at the bottom you will find a number of recommendations).

The administrative Vice Presidency issued a circular yesterday <link> that specifies that the academic, research, and administrative headquarters will be suspended in the above listed locations from 8:00 on Sunday, June 2 to 18:00 on June 4, 2013. Admission to these buildings will also be restricted during the time specified above with access to authorized personnel only.

The administrative Vice Chancellor, Dr. Luis Carlos Ayala Caldas, clarified that the administrative staff working in university departments based test must be submitted to your working day on the dates indicated, and will be under direct guidance of the Dean of each Faculty.

He also said the university departments where the test is not presented, will attend the public that requires its services as it normally does. The income restriction divisions and ICT staff, which are located in the building of the Faculty of Education, are an exemption.

Northern Cauca (regionalization process)

High school graduates who enrolled in the undergraduate programs offered by the University of Cauca in the headquarters of Miranda and Santander de Quilichao for period II of 2013, also presented the admission test on Tuesday, June 4, according to the director of the Center of Regionalization, Dr. Hugo Portela Guarin.

For them, this examination will be held at the new headquarters of the mega-school Fernandez Santander Qulichao War, located on Carrera 5 No 7-50, Calama neighborhood of that municipality in Cauca.

Recommendations

-Sign test with the original identification documents.

-Bring the printed citation to admission test (download document) <link>

-Carry only the following elements: black lead No. 2 pencil, eraser, and                                                                      sharpener.

-Once the test has started, entry to the premises will not be allowed under any circumstances.

-You must be present at least an hour before starting the test.

What is prohibited?

-The entry of any electronic device such as mobile phones and their accessories, music players, iPods, tablets, portable game consoles, PDAs, transmission equipment, USB flash drives, laptops, etc…

-The entry of items such as: print, bags, briefcases, umbrellas, jackets, caps or hats.

-Entrance to the premises under the influence of alcoholic beverages or psychoactive substances.

How long is the test?

The test lasts a total of three hours. Those in the morning session should not return in the afternoon and vice versa.
