Unicauca opens merit contest for positions of full-time teachers

Through Rectoral Resolution 0378 of 2023, the Alma Mater of Unicauca formally opens the call to fill 4 positions of full-time professors that are currently vacant. The call that begins today, March 27 of the current year, will run until May 3 and the results of the merit contest, with the final list of selected teachers, will be published on July 6 of this year.

 

The University of Cauca as a higher education institution with high quality certification, in order to continue strengthening its academic level, as well as the offer for the youth of the region, opens a call to provide the departments of Chemistry, Geography, Biology and Mathematics, of the vacancies of the teaching staff linked to the aforementioned programs.

 

In this sense, we call on the applicants interested in applying, so that they take careful note of the requirements that must be met, as well as the vacant profiles, as detailed below:

 

Chemistry Department

 

Profile: Chemist; Doctor (a) Chemistry, Sciences or Chemical Sciences, with training area in inorganic Chemistry, preferably with application to green chemistry.

 

Experience:

 

 

Minimum university teaching of 1 year or its full-time equivalent, in inorganic chemistry subjects.

 

Minimum research of 1 year, in topics of Inorganic Chemistry

 

 

Geography Department

 

Profile: Geographer or professional in Sociology, Economics, History or Anthropology; Master's or Doctorate (a) Geography, Urban Geography or Population Geography.

 

Experience:

 

 

University teaching minimum of 2 years.

 

Research, prove academic productivity represented in journal articles including Publindex.

 

 

Biology department

 

Profile: Biologist; PhD in Biological Sciences or Biology Sciences or Environmental Sciences.

 

Experience:

 

 

University teaching minimum of 2 years.

 

Research and publications on Ethnobiology or biocultural topics.

 

 

Department of Mathematics

 

Profile: Statistician, Mathematician, Mathematical Engineer, Professional in Applied Mathematics, Graduate in Mathematics or Graduate in Education with specialization/emphasis in Mathematics; Doctor (a) Areas of Statistics, Mathematics, Mathematical Sciences, Mathematical Engineering or Applied Mathematics.

 

Experience:

 

 

Minimum university teaching of 1 year.

 

Research, intellectual publication in the area of statistics or probability, minimum of 10 points calculated with respect to items 3.1 to 3.6 of article 2 of Agreement 034 of 2022.

 

 

In the same way, the different stages of the contest are shared with a view to ensuring the clarity and transparency of the process:

 

 

Opening of the call: March 27, 2023.

 

 

Registration and upload of documentation in the Bank of Applicants: March 27 to May 3, 2023.

 

 

Publication and citation of the list of applicants who continue in the interview process and additional tests as the case may be: May 24, 2023.

 

 

Specific tests (if applicable) and interview, according to the list previously issued: From May 25 to 29, 2023.

 

 

Summons psychometric test for the first three (3) scores of the selection record: June 5, 2023.

 

 

Test application: June 7, 2023.

 

 

Publication on the web portal of the University of Cauca of the Resolution of the list of eligible: June 13, 2023.

 

 

Appeals for replacement against the Resolution of the list of eligible: Until June 28, 2023.

 

 

Publication on Unicauca’s web portal of the definitive list of eligible candidates: July 6, 2023.
