A Unicauca faculty member presents their research work in Spain

Professor Zoraida Ramírez Gutiérrez, who is a member of the International Scientific Committee of the XIV Research Forum representing researchers from Colombia and Ibero-America, presented her work titled "Results and Verification of Empirical Work with DEA Methodology: Relative Efficiency of Electricity, Gas, and Water Companies in Colombia" during the academic event held from June 5th to 7th.

Professor Zoraida Ramírez Gutiérrez from the Department of Accounting Sciences at the University of Cauca, and Daniel Mejía Uribe, a graduate of the Master's in Accounting and Finance, presented their research titled "Results and Verification of Empirical Work with DEA Methodology: Relative Efficiency of Electricity, Gas, and Water Companies in Colombia" during the XIV Research Forum On Challenges In Management Accounting And Control. This event took place from June 5th to 7th, 2024, at the University of Valencia, Fundación ADEIT (Spain). Additionally, Professor Ramírez Gutiérrez participated as a member of the International Scientific Committee of this XIV Research Forum, representing researchers from Colombia and Ibero-America.

The document presented to the academic community is part of the research conducted by the Finance and Management Research Group (GREIFG), affiliated with the Public Accounting program of the Department of Accounting Sciences. The participation in this important event has been made possible with the support of the Faculty of Accounting, Economic, and Administrative Sciences.

During the session, a counter-presentation was conducted with the work titled "Impact of Collaboration between the Spanish Business Sector and Public Research Organizations in R&D&I," presented by Anadairín Díaz Rodríguez from EDEM University, Valencia.

The Research Forum aims to promote interaction and discussion among national and international researchers in the field of accounting and management control. The sessions combine presentations where researchers share their work in accounting, finance, and/or management disciplines related to management control. The forum also includes rebuttals, providing an opportunity to contribute to and enhance methodological approaches, discussions, and diverse perspectives on the presented topics.
