The University of Cauca and the Strategic Public Transport System of Popayán, “Movilidad Futura S.A.S.,” have signed a framework agreement that promises to revolutionize mobility in the city.

This strategic agreement aims to combine efforts in various areas of civil engineering to improve the quality of life of Popayán's residents through concrete and effective actions.

Dr. Juan Carlos Casas Zapata, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, highlights that this agreement represents a valuable opportunity to integrate technical, administrative, and financial resources, allowing for the development of strategies aligned with the core needs of both institutions.

"We have signed this framework agreement at the right time. Now, we must move towards specific agreements where the University of Cauca, through its research groups and academic initiatives, can contribute its vast experience and expertise.”

Meanwhile, architect Raúl Ibarra Bermúdez, General Manager of Movilidad Futura Popayán, emphasizes that his institution is not only responsible for managing the Strategic Public Transport System but also for studying how citizens move, as there are multiple means of transportation.
