La Universidad -

From June 5th to 9th, the members of the academic program at the University of Cauca undertake an academic, research, and intercultural experience at the Universidad Industrial de Santander UIS.

With the participation of 6 students from the Elective course specializing in Sports from the X semester and 2 professors from the Physical Activity and Sports axis, the Physical Therapy program at the University of Cauca engages in an outgoing academic mobility exercise at the School of Physical Therapy at Universidad Industrial de Santander UIS.

The objective of this activity, taking place from June 5th to 9th, 2023, is to foster an exchange in curriculum reform, academic experiences, research, and intercultural insights in subjects related to sports sciences and physical activity.

Students and professors will share practice environments in Sports Rehabilitation, Physical Activity, and Community Health as a fundamental element for a healthy university, conducting analysis, evaluation, diagnosis, and intervention of human body movement in diverse contexts.

These mobility exercises strengthen the academic processes of the students, analyze potential academic and research exchanges that support national integration between undergraduate and postgraduate programs, fostering cultural exchange between regions and contributing to the establishment of an excellent and supportive university.

The academic mobility is made possible thanks to the support from the Rectorate, the Vice-Rectory of Culture and Well-being, the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Physical Therapy program, and the Center for Quality Management and Institutional Accreditation at the University of Cauca.
