Student from the Nova Iuris Research Group stands out with his presentation on conflict resolution.
Research Group among the top ten in the XXV International Competition for Undergraduate Law Students.
The University of Cauca, for the second consecutive year, excelled in the XXV International Competition for Undergraduate Law Students. This time, the Nova Iuris research group ranked among the top 10 out of 150 participating research groups from across Latin America.
At the event organized by the Colombian Institute of Procedural Law in Bucaramanga, José Fernando Cortés Hurtado from the North Campus and the other members of Nova Iuris, led by professors Silvia Romero Romero, José Ilario Núñez, and William Felipe Hurtado, also from the North Campus, presented a paper focused on the theme: The Future of Justice Administration and Conflict Resolution Methods.

The mentioned presentation is titled: “Conflict Resolution Mechanisms in Colombia: A Gesture or the Future of Justice Administration?” This paper was ranked among the top 10 out of 150 selected for the competition. As a result, student José Fernando Cortés Hurtado received the following awards:
- 1. A scholarship for a specialization in graduate studies.
- 2. The resumes of the 10 semifinalists will be sent to the top law firms in the country.
- 3. Two legal texts.

The Colombian Institute of Procedural Law's Competition for Research Seminars in Procedural Law is an academic gathering aimed at encouraging research, study, reflection, and contributions from students to identify innovative measures for the transformation and improvement of procedural law and the administration of justice.
